Today’s dental implants are the most reliable and long-lasting way to replace your missing teeth. We’re proud to provide comprehensive dental implant therapy right here at our West Seneca, NY practice! Thanks to minimally invasive strategies, you can enjoy a comfortable procedure that is non-invasive to other teeth.
Modern implants mimic the structure and function of natural teeth. They’re made of biocompatible titanium (what’s used in surgical joint replacement,) which encourages new bone to grow and fuse to their surface, keeping them in place.
When set in your jaw, implants are actually stronger than healthy teeth. We can use them to support single restorations such as crowns, or in pairs for multiple tooth restorations like bridges and dentures.
Your dental implant procedure at West Seneca Smiles will be more comfortable than you might suspect. Since implants are a minimally invasive restoration, only a small amount of local anesthetic is needed to place them. After full osseointegration is achieved (when your implant is fused to the bone) we can place a fixed restoration onto an abutment, which attaches to your implant.
Here are some of the reasons why we recommend implants to our patients at West Seneca Smiles:
Before getting dental implants, we’ll need to make sure you have enough healthy bone structure and that there is no existing gum disease. During your consultation we’ll discuss the type of strategy and restoration recommended for your unique smile.
